Correspondence from Golf Australia - 18/9/20

Dear All,
Please be advised that regrettably the State Finals for the Doris Chambers Cup and Silver Spoon have been cancelled for 2020 due to the ongoing uncertainty regarding the staging of organised
competition in metropolitan areas. Clubs that have already completed their club qualifying events and submitted their entries to Golf Australia (GA) will receive a full refund.

With respect to the Royal Women’s Hospital (RWH) 4BBB competition, it is pleasing that a significant number of clubs have already played their club qualifying events, and therefore the
winners will be announced following the close of entries at 5pm on Friday 13 November. GA will forward entry contributions to the RWH once all entries have been received.

The following prizes for the RWH 4BBB will be awarded for 2020:

  • Overall Winners – To receive a round of golf at Royal Melbourne Golf Club
  • Overall Runners-Up – To receive a round of golf at Kingston Heath Golf Club
  • Regional Winners – overall winning pair from a regional club
  • Metropolitan Winners – overall winning pair from a metropolitan club

In accordance with the Terms of Competition, in the event of a tie to determine any prize, a countback according to the Golf Australia count back method will be used to determine the winner and/or runner-up. Clubs may be required to submit the winning score card to GA in the case of a count-back.

We look forward to announcing the winners of the RWH 4BBB and hope for a successful return to the Doris Chambers Cup and Silver Spoon in 2021.

Yours sincerely,
Tim Witherow
Interim Golf Operations and State Manager, Vic
